Sandra Stahlheber

She studied music and singing at the Musikhochschule Mannheim and received her diplomas/ exams in Voice Teaching, and as Concert- and Opera Singer.

Masterclasses with Ingeborg Danz (Europäisches Musikfest Stuttgart), Klesie Kelly (Schweiz, Italien) and Chistoph Prégardien (Villa Musica, Schloß Engers), as well as the scholarship of the Richard-Wagner-Association completed the vocal and musician trainings.

Since many years the artist sings in concerts as soloist in oratorios (Bachs’ Chrismas Oratorio, Händels’ Messiah, Mendelssohns’ Elijah), Cantatas and Masses;

Recitals with different companions (Helmut Oesterreich – Guitar, Esther Magrinya - piano) and the membership in renowned Vocal Ensembles (Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart with Helmut Rilling, enVoc Köln) lead her through Germany, Europe and overseas and show the multiple ability of her artistic work.

Also in productions of musictheatre she was on stage, for example as Dido in Purcells „Dido and Aeneas“, as Hänsel in Humperdincks „Hänsel und Gretel“, or as Lilian Holiday in Brecht/Weills „Happy End“.

As guest singer she had also stage contracts with the Operahouses of Mannheim and Stuttgart.

Actually she works as voice teacher at the J.S.Bach-High-School of Mannheim , as mezzosoprano at the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart (the choir of the radio station) and as lecturer for singing at the Musikhochschule Mannheim.

 

Wolfgang Wendel

born in 1962 in Germany, studied flute in the German Conservatories such as Darmstadt, Karlsruhe and Freiburg (with Hans-Peter Schmitz, Berlin and Robert Aitken, Toronto).

As a freelancer he played concerts and made CD-recordings with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden/Freiburg and the Opera house Orchestra Karlsruhe.

Mainly on contemporary subjects he gave master classes and solo recitals throughout Germany (i.e. with the German Flute Society in Frankfurt), Australia, Taiwan (National Concert Hall, Taipei), Austria, Russia (Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, St Petersburg), Ukraine and U.S. (National Flute Convention 2003, Las Vegas).

He is an active composer for his instrument:
 Wind for Bass flute (1999) Indian Dream for flute (2000)
“Quo vadis, Elise?” for Piccolo, Flute and Alto flute (2007) or Reflections on TamSui for            Chinese Dizi flute.

He also is a current member of juries like the “International Evgeni Mrawinski” contest in St Petersburg/Russia or the Final contest of “Jugend musiziert” in Germany.
